Hi to all Moderators!
I am wondering about the possibility of creating a Flash/Notice Board on the site for displaying important information from users. I am probably like many other users in that I keep an eye on the site but do not have the time to trawl the different Forums and threads for information.
The reason for suggesting this is because I noticed when the UK Tour tickets went on sale, via the site, some people were not happy with the choice of seats available. On the day tickets went on general sale some location sites still gave a poor selection of seats but as I had done some homework beforehand I was able to obtain centre front row seats with no problem at our chosen location. Infact I could have had the whole front row. It would have been nice if I could have quickly flashed through a message to enable other fans to share in my good fortune.
This is just one possible use for such a facility.

That's an excellent idea gwinmill. Something on the Welcom Forum or- maybe a forum of its own.

It's always difficult to decide when to take down some threads from the announcement and sticky mode, and as you say, some things do get lost.
