I have tried by going to photobucket and selecting the url then copy and paste onto the forum in avatar slot and then click update (I think)

I have tried 3 times with no success can anybody help me.

I had to go back and check what i'd done with mine.

I clicked browse- and it bought up the files from my computer- and I clicked on the image from  my picture files- not from photobucket.

See if that works for you.  If not we'll try Plan B.... ( whatever that may be.)

Avatar size is usually 80 x 80 pixels ( from memory)

 So if it's an image from another source- maybe save it as a picture on your computer and resize it- then take it from there.

I think I remember that you also have to click on 'activate avatar' as well.    Hope that helps.

It never ceases to amaze me what can be 'googled', I sometimes sit for ages before I think, well, look on the Internet, so much easier than a trip to the local Library, although having said that, I miss the atmosphere in a Library.
