The secret is to make your siggy one item, then store on photobucket or whatever as one image, then there's plenty of room in the siggy field.

When my avatar is sitting in Photobucket the ball actuallly moves round but it's not doing it on here.  Can you confirm 'that's the way of things' please or have I missed something?

Hi Lilian. To link an image that is animated, go to the site where the image is on the net. Right click on the image and go to "Properties." A box will pop up that will have the "Location" of the image on the web. Highlight and copy that image location, then go to your profile under the avatar tab to paste it into the "avatar/URL" section. It should work then.

Trying linking the url  directly from the website - see if that works.

It was working last night!  Maybe it goes off ( if you'll pardon the BLOCKED EXPRESSION  when they do some maintenance- or something- like photobucket links do from time to time.

I can see it now!  (Only took 2 glasses of chardy with my breakfast!)

That's the result of back and forth e mails  last night between Lily and me. The site doesn't allow remote linking - means Lily couldn't click on the properties link  and paste  the url. They WOULDN"T allow it! And then I realised that she just needed to save the picture  link to her computer and use that when she made her avatar- rather than doing the photobucket thing.

 So far so good.....

Thank you all for your comments and help.  Good advice there Bev .. it means that trying to do it that way you can see something but no-one else can  I'm glad no-one could hear my anglo-saxon language last night .. the computer nearly went out of the window on a few occasions!

And .. being of the ballroom/R&R era, this isn't a 'disco' ball to me at all.  Rather it conjures up a big ballroom/lights out/just that ball flashing around. *sigh* 

Anyway, another problem solved.  Thanks again everyone ... on to the next query!
