    Re: AMMIRATORI RECIPE CORNER

Thats a lovely thing to do for your mum jenny! :D

Ooo i just remembered a really easy recipie for rocky road that my friend made up. it is so simple that you really dont need to do too much....although im warning you it is quite sweet :D

Fantastic Rocky Road(For the people with a really sweet tooth)

2 packets of Nestle chocolate melts/or 2 250g blocks of the yummiest chocolate
1 small packet of gummi bears
    1 packet of marshmallows
    1 packet of Malteasers
(optional) a handful or peanuts or macadamia nuts yum...

First get a rectangular baking tin and line with baking paper and chop up marshmallows into bite size pieces.

In a saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat. Once all melted Pour chocolate into a bowl, and then add all remaining ingredients together.
    mix well until all combined.
pour into prepared tin and then put in fridge to set. then your done...well then when its done you have to cut it up into bite size pieces. then viola! enjoy! (you can put anything you want in this rocky road, these are just the ingredients i used) Happy Cooking!

I want to lose a few kilogram before I see David on the 4th of Aug. So I am trying to stay away from the chocolate and the soft drinks.

    Re: AMMIRATORI RECIPE CORNER

    CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

    125g dark chocolate
    1 tablespoon brandy
    4 eggs, separated
    1 cup cream

Chop the chocolate roughly and stir over hot water until melted

    cool slightly

gradually add brandy (no sipping!) and egg yolks

    beat until smooth and thick

whip cream (do not overwhip, only until nicely thickened)

    fold into mixture

beat whites until soft peaks form only

fold half into mixture, then next half

    refrigerate until firm

eat all at once - absolutely no sharing!!!

    Julie's Yummy Spinach Salad

2 C fresh spinach (rinsed & dried, torn into small pieces)

    1/2 C fresh sliced strawberries

    2 Tsp balsamic vinegar

    1/2 Tbsp chopped walnuts

Combine the first three ingredients and toss. Top with the walnuts.

I think I'd be tossing in a few more walnuts.. I LOVE nuts!!

thanks for that! Strawberries and balsamic vinegar are supposed to be so very complementary - not the most obvious combination but so very yummy!

    Re: AMMIRATORI RECIPE CORNER

I have to dig out the recipe for the cookies I made for David for his birthday last year. They are so good - I could just eat the dough raw!.. Dark chocolate with white choc chunks and macadamias...... okay I just gained an ounce thinking about them.

As soon as I find it, I will post it.
    Julie

I will carry you, be your strength, pull you through.
