Ooooh- I might have to come over there and do something VERY naughty- so he can arrest me!

After reading the article- I know that's not what he does- but maybe he'd make an exception if I'd made the trip especially and travelled all that way!! Devil

Alan is often at garden centres etc. on the island doing demonstrations, talks and book signings, but I guess it would be different to see him in uniform - I do so like a man in uniform!!   I will keep you up to date Bev.

    Re: BLAKE

    Hi everyone

Good to see some discussion over Blake.  Joy and I had a listen last weekend, and agree they are good.

But, you know, I have a feeling that none of them will be perfect without some magical female voices - Our Amici are superb because of the fabulous balance of brilliant male and female voices, working together in perfect harmony.  Sorry, we were never in to Il Divo - far too smarmy and polished for our liking.

But then, what band would not sound better without the fantastic Tsak?

Love to everyone, and we'll catch up soon.

    Paul

I totally agree Paul, many combinations have tried to better or imitate our Amici, but they just cannot achieve the blend and flexibility of their voices and ranges.   x

    Re: BLAKE

I think so too Pat. The blend of the male and female voices raises Amici so far above the others. Blake are excellent and the Ten Tenors were very good so are Il Divo but Amici is just so much better.

    Re: BLAKE

    Exactly right- ceedee.

It's the male/female voices that makes Amici so unique with that beautiful sound.

And they pioneered all those beautiful classical pieces of music into vocal arrangements
