Re: Geoff off to Prague to record new solo album
I guess it's a case of these things being governed by 'bookings' etc. and being arranged weeks (months?) in advance. Even so, that's one repeat performance we don't want, do we? Let's hope Geoff takes care!

Re: Geoff off to Prague to record new solo album
Thanks for all your comments and concerns, Geoff is very touched indeed. He's in absolutely top form right now though, totally hyped about being alive and relishing his second chance at life... and he's never happier than when he's doing what he loves - creating fantastic music!! Working on the album is all part of the healing process for Geoff, as along with his family, music is his life... so singing is his way of celebrating that he's still very much here!! He's taking things carefully and looking after himself of course, but he's also having a blast recording the tracks. And as he said in his recent interview, he's absolutely stoked to be working on this "dream in the making"! So rest assured that Geoff is doing great, feeling extremely happy and looking forward to the exciting and bright future with even more verve and spark than ever.

Re: Geoff singing the Rugby World Cup Anthem
Geoff aims to "sing while you're winning"! Kiwi tenor and passionate rugby fan Geoff Sewell is both thrilled and honoured to be singing his version of the Rugby World Cup's official anthem "World In Union" which is featuring in New Zealand television's coverage of the prestigious tournament. His stirring rendition will be heard by millions on TV3 throughout the event, which is taking place in France during September and October. The kiwi singing sensation and entrepreneur, now based in London, took time out from recording his debut solo album, due for release later this year, to sing the official song. "Supporting the best team in the world by doing what I do best is not only an amazing privilege but a dream come true. The Blacks deserve to bring home the Cup and yet we all know that giving 100% every time is what matters, which is what the Blacks are famous for. Being involved and making some kind of contribution to their fight is a huge deal for me" Geoff has already had the honour of performing the NZ national anthem before two major All Blacks internationals in the past year which has been one of the highlights of his career. He was flown home from London to Christchurch each time especially by the NZ rugby union to perform his unique rendition - something they term "the most passionate performance we have ever heard". On both occasions his beloved team were inspired to impressive wins so he'll no doubt be hoping to spur them all the way to that elusive Webb Ellis trophy this time too! Re: Geoff's Email Newsletter
Thanks for keeping us up to date on what Geoff is doing. Sounds like all is well again on the health front for him - he has probably learned his lesson about overdoing it! (at least I hope so!)

Re: Geoff serves up "Ace" send off for Henman!
Incognito serve up an "Ace" send off for tennis star Henman
Geoff Sewell and his global entertainment company, Incognito Artists, made sure British tennis star Tim Henman's last ever Davis Cup Teams Dinner went with a real swing last Wednesday night. Former New Zealand junior tennis star Geoff, and his wife and business partner Simone, were invited guests at the event which was held for the British and Croatian teams ahead of Henman's emotionally charged final Davis Cup match at Wimbledon. But in typical Incognito style, all was not as it seemed! Following comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner's stand up set, Incognito tenor Jeremy Secomb, who was posing as a chef, set about putting the grand finale "sting" in process with fellow tenor and company CEO Geoff. The talented, energetic duo were soon well into their stride and had the distinguished guests at London's exclusive Bluebird restaurant on their feet singing, waving their napkins and screaming for more. Geoff, who is currently also working on his debut solo album, said "It was a thrill to not only sing to such an appreciative audience but to shake hands with some of the legends of British tennis. I loved passing the mic to Tim who enthusiastically belted out 'We Are The Champions', in the hope it might actually be true two days later!" So it was definitely "game, set and match" to the Incognito team on Wednesday, with Tim Henman suitably fired up and inspired to say his farewell to professional tennis in victorious fashion over the weekend too! Re: Geoff's live interview in Paris this Sunday!
Geoff's live interview in Paris, Sunday 7th October Anyone flying from London to Paris on Saturday should be warned their flight may get a little noisy if New Zealand beat France in the Rugby World Cup! Kiwi tenor and huge rugby fan, Geoff Sewell is thrilled to be flying to France tomorrow, having been invited to the Paris studios of New Zealand television channel TV3 for a live interview, promoting his powerful rendition of the stirring rugby anthem, "The World in Union". Geoff, who is now based in London, will no doubt have plenty to discuss with the TV3 crew, having twice performed the national anthem before crucial All Blacks matches and is of course currently recording his highly anticipated debut solo album. The interview will be broadcast live this Sunday, the 7th October at 12pm French time - which equates to 11am in the UK and 11pm over in Geoff's native New Zealand.

Re: Daily Telegraph Article
The following article about Geoff and his global empire "Incognito Artists" appeared in The Daily Telegraph, a major UK newspaper on the 9th October.
SECRETS OF SUCCESS - Undercover singers lie in wait ready to add a note of surprise Geoff Sewell is a famous singer. A pin-up in Australia and New Zealand, he's had number one hits and albums in both, has sung national anthems at sports grounds from Eden Park, New Zealand, to the Millennium Stadium in Wales and has sung for the likes of Elton John at his famous white tie and tiara charity balls. In fact he may be one of the most famous singers you've never heard of, but there's good reason for that. First off because Sewell's business is called Incognito Artists. This is how it goes. Sewell and two other "undercover" singer colleagues are at a function, dressed as waiters or security guards. Cue elaborate tray-dropping/argument scene and surprise, surprise the three of them break into a series of operatic numbers to delight the crowd. "The first time we did it was for an Accountancy Association of New Zealand party in London and the people went crazy for it!", Sewell says, "and I thought if it got accountants standing on chairs and cheering that there was something to it." Sewell's business now hires out a series of different groups to inflict operatic shocks on unsuspecting weddings, parties or sporting events and the business is booming. It did 68 gigs in June, usually the firms quietest month, bringing in around £200,000. Overheads are low, there is an endless number of good, out-of-work singers for hire on a freelance basis and word of mouth has spread news of Incognito far and wide. "When we started, it was completely unique," Sewell says, "but over time the genre of music (classical/pop) has grown massively. People want to see and hear live acts, and people love surprise." To begin, Sewell visualised where he wanted to go, who he wanted to get on to his board and thought about how he could replicate and grow the business. "I surround myself with great people, netter singers than me, and it raises my game. Over time, you improve yourself and then it's time to surround yourself with other people better than you." He also works hard on word-of-mouth marketing, following up gigs with thank you cards and gifts. Then clients are called and asked a series of questions - all vital information and the best time and money Sewell has ever spent on marketing. "If you're singing at someones wedding, the will remember the day - and talk about it - for the rest of their lives. So we're working through all our previous engagements and contacting the people to say hello and remind them we're still here. Word-of-mouth marketing is the best you can get and this approach really helps." Being a trained accountant has also helped. "When we started people would take three months to pay us, particularly big companies. Now we get 50pc up front then 50pc two days before the appear. That means we can pay our singers the next days - and everyone's happy." Source: The Daily Telegraph

Re: Duet with Zoe Mace - Time to Say Goodbye
Geoff Sewell & Zoë Mace - Time To Say Goodbye
London based Tenor, Geoff Sewell, was thrilled to find time during the summer to not only say hello, but also sing goodbye with talented young performer Zoë Mace.
Although still only 12 years old, Zoë has a very impressive, not to mention moving career and story behind her already. She began singing at the tender age of nine, recording a CD called "Ray of Light" in 2004, to raise funds for the Oxford Children's Hospital, where her sister Jodie, who was born with Down's Syndrome, was about to undergo complex heart surgery. Much to everyone's amazement and joy, after appearing live on GMTV, the album sold out and raised a staggering £27,000 for the fund.
Sadly Jodie did not survive the surgery on her heart, but Zoë bravely continued with her plans to record a second CD entitled "Songs For My Sister", just four weeks after her tragic passing. She released the album as a tribute to her dearly beloved sister in conjunction with Down Syndrome Awareness Week in 2005. Again the album proved to be a huge success reaching number 2 in the solo Classical artists' charts. The CD's success lead to Zoë performing at many high profile events and receiving several impressive and well earned awards, including Mencap Young Person of the Year and the Argos Wavemaker Award for raising in excess of £120,000.
When Zoë began recording again this year, in between her school commitments, Kiwi star Geoff Sewell, who is currently recording his own debut solo album, was absolutely delighted to be asked to feature on this her third album. The talented pair joined forces to sing the classic song "Time to Say Goodbye" on Zoë's upcoming CD, "Once Upon A Time", which features some of the world's best loved songs, such as O Mio Babbino Caro, Habanera and Nessun Dorma.
The young star is rightly proud of her efforts on the album, "I am so proud of "Once Upon A Time" it was a lot of hard work learning all the French and Italian and of course what the words meant, but it was all worth it. The first track on my album, "Tears in Heaven" I recorded in memory of my little sister Jodie and I was so pleased when I was able to release this as a single download and donate all the money raised to a charity called Downside Up, which supports children in Russia who have Downs Syndrome. These children are put away in institutions with many of them dying of neglect before they reach 3 years old. All I could think about when I read that was if I had lived in Russia Jodie could have ended up in one of these dreadful places!!"
Zoë also admitted that she was very excited about recording with the multi platinum selling artist and founder of Amici Forever, "All my dreams came true when Geoff Sewell agreed to sing Time to Say Goodbye with me, I mean how cool is that to have a professional singer, who is already famous, to say yes!! When I met Geoff he was so nice to me, really friendly and treated me with total respect. Geoff is what I call "A really nice guy who's lots of fun!"
But it sounds as if Geoff - who performed on the track without payment and will receive no royalties, wishing to donate his efforts to the charity - was equally taken with his young duet partner too, stating, "Zoë is a little superstar! Following her dream at such a young age is gutsy and inspirational, she's amazing!"
To hear Geoff and Zoë's stunning version of "Time to Say Goodbye", visit Zoë's MySpace site by clicking HERE
Zoë Mace's album "Once Upon a Time" is released throughout the UK on 19th November, but can be pre-ordered from Amazon HERE
Geoff Sewell's debut solo album will be released in early 2008.

I have heard it and it is amazing. Zoe has such a beautiful and mature voice for her age. It is a lovely song and it was lovely to hear Geoff singing it with her.
