I was watching Foxtel (cable TV) today and they showed a promo for Magnum P.I. with Tom Selleck-

and I realised I haven't seen or heard of him for quite a few years.

He was such a heartthrob - at the time-  I had to have a bit of a snigger as I watched the fashions and the hairstyles of the show. (What were we thinking!!)

 So I'm going to try to find out whatever happened to Tom Selleck.

Not very observant am I!

He had a recurring role on Friends- as an ex-boyfriend of Monica's.

Played Shirley's troubled ex- husband on Boston Legal- (Can't remember that/or haven't seen it yet)

Apparently he was first choice for the Indiana Jones movie- but was contracted to keep doing Magnum.

He decided the honourable thing was to not try to get out of the contract and honoured it.

He will be joining the cast of 'Las Vegas'- replacing James Caan as the casino owner.

So- there you go.

 Anyone have anyone else they've wondered about?

That's an interesting idea Bev. I do remember Tom Selleck as Monica's boyfriend but I don't watch boston Legal so I didn't know that part but it does seem that once he was everywhere and now seldom seen.

I wonder what happened to Lisa Kudrow she did a couple of movies but while the other two always crop up in magazines and things you never see Lisa now.

Didn't Lisa do a movie called "Romy's Class Reunion"?   And I do remember Tom Selleck - my mom never missed that show.  had a major case on Magnum.

I've seen him on a couple comercials and also he did the voice on a cartoon my grandson watches:  Ben 10 (I recognized the voice and looked it up!!)
