Hello,

here in Germany we celebrate four  Sundays before Christmas Advent, and now it s the first Advent. I dont know, if you celebrate that in your Country too, but if you do, I wish you all a wonderful first Advent.

We  in Australia - as a country don't celebrate that as far as I'm aware- possibly some of the various churches may.  And I know the Lutheran Churches here seem to  have Christmas fairs- with a special name that I can't recall.

Perhaps you know what the German name is-

Hi Bernd,

 Being a Lutheran myself, we do celebrate Advent.  We sing a verse of an advent song and then read a lesson from Isaiah. We do a short reading and response while we light each candle.  On Sunday, we lit the candle of hope. 

So Happy Advent to you as well!

No Christmas fairs here, but we do have our annual Christmas toy drive next Sunday.
