    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

Mary, this board doesn't control the size of the siggys. All of that is in the specifications of the size when you create it using whatever software.

You'll need to go back prior to saving it and posting the link, and re-sizing the siggy there to the size you want.

    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

MB and KB are just sizes. Just like 100cm = 1m or 60mins = 1 hr

But I am not quite sure in how to make your siggy better.. it is so tiny!

But like what Bev have said, there isn't a size limit for one's siggy, just make sure it isn't too big or isn't too wide because we all have different window screen sizes, so for you maybe the siggy will fit into a page perfectly but for others it could be stretching the page. :? Also sometimes it's not the size (as in the length and width of the siggy, but the actual size of the siggy. For example siggys that are created using flash programs (one's that moves) they often have larger sizes than a jpg file) so just beware of that, because it could slow the loading time of a forum or a page you are trying to view.

And sorry but this forum doesn't have the function of having avatars.

Anyway, I feel gulity because after all my blah blah blah I still didn't answer your question!!

    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

    Hi Mary

Somewhere on the software program that's creating the image, there should be a function, usually under the edit menu, that says image size.

This allows you to make it bigger or smaller. If you want to know how big the image is now, it's 94 x 29 pixels. (Right click the image.. then click propertiesd, that tells you the size.)

My siggy is 200 pixels high x 946 pixels wide. That's probably as wide as you'd need without distortion.

Also by changing the size on the menu, you can keep the right proportion.. and stop the image getting distorted, which it sometimes does if you change size by dragging it.

Hope that helps Mary. What software are you using to make the image?

    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

Hi Mary. Wish I could help but I know nothing of gif files except they are neat. Good luck with enlarging it! Did you try the 'Help' function of the program? Maybe you can find your solution there somewhere.

    Love,
    Jenny

    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

    Well done Mary!

There should be a way of doing both...keep plugging away. :D

Does the image seem slightly stretched to you? Or is that how it was to begin with?

    Re: SIGGIES AND AVATORS

    Hi Mary

When I tried to re-do my siggie it just kept telling me that my signature was 'too long', I have not really mastered it at all, I suppose it is just a question of trial and error or find a clever friend!!

Love the pictures on your siggie at present though!
