It's Been A While

Hi,

Hope you are all finding your way around the 'new look' website.  Well, it's been a while since we've seen all your lovely faces out there on the road but it will be all the sweeter when we do and we'll have our new secret weapon....the Van Gasse Bombshell! Meanwhile i've been trying to take better photos - chilling with 'Lulu', my sis's new cairn terrier puppy and would you believe, getting into a bit of Zouk Lambada with a certain South African Soprano.

Peace n love.. D

p.s  Has everyone watched 'An Inconvenient Truth' yet?

Season's Greetings

Season’s Greetings all And yes, to echo Bruno, it was fantastic to be back at Twickenham Stadium a few weeks ago to sing for the rugby. The result of the match was disastrous of course but the World Champions WILL strike back…… sometime soon! The Yuletide seems to be looming fast this year and Amici have been preparing a few short extracts of Christmas songs which we will sing ‘a cappella’ for a radio show which will go out on Christmas Eve. Details of the station and times will be posted in the News section shortly. On the personal front I’ve spent a bit of my pocket money on a new camera and am trying to improve my photographic skills whenever I get a moment. Hopefully you will see some of the results soon. We are off to perform in chilly Kiev in a couple of weeks time so maybe I will catch Bruno again in his ‘grandad’s long johns’ and put it on the gallery for you ladies to admire. For now wishing you all lots of turkey, brussels sprouts and plenty of stuffing D xaggbug

Miss World

Hi to all Has it really been that long since we made a diary entry? As you will know by now there has been more upheaval for Amici but I have written more about this in the 'Ammiratori' section of the Community pages. We gave our first performance in Switzerland recently at a large private function in Geneva (pics will be posted soon) and we had another first in visiting Warsaw, Poland to perform at the Miss World contest. We shared the bill with Robin Gibb (from the legendary Bee Gees of course) and Westlife. Saturday Night Fever was one of the first records I ever owned so it was an honour to meet Robin who seemed a really decent guy and the Westlife boys are a great bunch too. As for the 104 contestants..... what can I say? I didn't get to meet all of them but the ones i did seemed like very pleasant young ladies!!!! It's a tough job sometimes.aggbug

Tour Updates

Thanks to everyone who came along and made the tour a very memorable and fun time for us. It was great to get around the country and finally perform some of the songs from DEFINED in the UK. There have been quite a few photos posted in the forum and i've put most of our favourites up on the gallery. I'm looking forward to going to Blenheim Palace for the first time tomorrow and performing for such a worthy cause as the 'Make a Wish Foundation'. Everyone in UK... enjoy the heatwave... it may not last! Davidaggbug

New Pics Soon

Hi all Just a quick note to say that we're sorry there have been no pics in the Gallery yet of the NZ and Australian tour. Expect them very soon but there is a technical hitch right now which is stopping us from uploading the photos. We are of course into planning and rehearsing for the UK tour in May and it will be great to get back on the road and perform at 'home' again. Meanwhile we have the 'Classic Response' concert tomorrow in the Albert Hall. Hope to see some of you there. Have a great Easter break everyone. Davidaggbug
